How do I transfer my domain name to Web3k

Transferring a domain name to Web3k follows a similar process for purchasing a new domain name, however you will need to provide some additional information is some cases.

When transferring domains from one registrar or reseller to another, in most cases, the additional information you will require is called an Authorization Code or as it is some times referred to, an EPP code. You will need code before you can begin the transfer process and your current registrar or reseller will have this stored. To obtain the code from your current supplier, you can either use their online customer portal if they have one, or email their support department. Note: We cannot supply this code to you.

Once you have your Authorization Code, browse over to our transfer order page and begin the process by entering your domain and following the prompts. At some stage in the process, you will be asked to enter your authorization code. Once you've checked out, the domain transfer order will be processed, which can take up to 5-7 business days to complete. During this time, you receive an email from us asking you to confirm the transfer.

You may be required to pay fees to us depending on the domain name you are transferring and the current status of the domain name. As these fees are different for some domains, these fees are calculated during check-out.

Before you begin to transfer a domain name to Web3k, you first must ensure your are authorised to do so, either by being the domain name holder or licensee, or where a domain name belongs to a company, authorised on behalf of that company to make the transfer.
