Transferring a Domain Name to Web3k is a simple process. You will generally need some additional information from your current registrar and in some cases there might be some extra steps. There are also some rules to transferring a Domain Name, which we will cover.

Once you have those details handy, enter your domain name below and click on the Transfer button. We’ll ask you for the EPP / Auth code in the next few steps. If you don’t have the EPP / Auth code, your current domain name registrar will be able to provide this to you.

Transferring a .COM, .NET, .ORG Domain Name

The following criteria must be met to transfer a .COM, .NET, .ORG Domain Name

  • The Domain Name must have a status of ACTIVE or OK,
  • The Domain Name must not be within 60-days of its initial registration or a previous completed transfer,
  • You must obtain the domain authorisation code (sometimes called an ‘Auth Code‘ or ‘EPP Code‘ or ‘EPP Password‘) from your current registrar,
  • The Domain Name must be ‘Unlocked‘, and
  • Ensure the WHOIS details (ownership details) are up to date, including your email address and you can receive emails to that email address.

  • The Domain Name must have a status of ACTIVE or OK,
  • The Domain Name must not be within 60-days of its initial registration or a previous completed transfer,

  • There is no cost to transfer a .COM.AU, .NET.AU, .ORG.AU, ASN.AU and ID.AU Domain Name.
  • If you domain name is within 90 days of expiring, you may choose to renew the domain for another 2-year period during the transfer process.
  • Changes to the domain name, including Name Servers, WHOIS data or its Locked state are not permitted during the transfer process.
